⚠️ Health Risk Assessment: RF Exposure from Wireless Equipment
Concerns regarding radiofrequency (RF) emissions from wireless infrastructure, including 5G and point-to-point systems such as those manufactured by Aviat Networks, have been raised in various communities worldwide. However, it is important to note the following:
Limited Empirical Evidence: To date, there is no broad scientific consensus confirming adverse health effects from RF exposure at levels emitted by licensed wireless equipment in the United States. Regulatory bodies such as the FCC and WHO maintain that RF emissions from compliant infrastructure remain within safety thresholds.
Isolated Case Studies: The most frequently cited health concerns—such as fatigue, insomnia, and neurological symptoms—stem from a small number of case studies, notably in Sweden. These reports describe symptoms in individuals living near newly installed 5G towers. However, these findings have not been replicated in peer-reviewed studies across other regions, and they remain anecdotal rather than conclusive.
Aviat Wireless Equipment: Aviat’s systems are primarily used for point-to-point microwave backhaul, which operate at focused, directional frequencies. These systems are engineered to minimize ambient exposure and are subject to strict regulatory compliance. No verified health incidents have been reported in the U.S. directly linked to Aviat equipment.
